Honey Bee
The hard-working honey bee is one of the most underestimated natural creatures in the world. On their own they have individual tasks to perform but in a group they are a powerful force to be reconned with.
The buzzing hum of their wings is the only audible sign of their presence as they go about their work.
Upon closer inspection of the wings of a honey bee you will see an intricate pattern of shimmering, translucent beauty. This made the wings the obvious choice for the placement of the pāua shell in this work.
The pāua shell endows this bee with grandeur, iridescence, and unrivalled delicacy that should inspire our human mind to allow the hard-working underdog to be granted an elevated status.
