The wifi dimmer light switch mech is a smart push button lighting dimmer that allows remote operation.
You can easily convert existing dimmable lights by replacing the existing switch mechanism with this smart dimming module. This mechanism fits into existing switch plates and is perfect for new or retro-fit installations. This is a trailing edge dimmer suitable for most LED lighting products and it slots seamlessly into HPM, Clipsal and Vynco branded wall plates.
Control this smart light dimmer switch from anywhere via the Smartlife Air or Smartlife Connect app or use various voice control devices.
This device should be installed by licensed electrician.

Electrical Installation
Please follow the below guidelines for safe physical installation of these device.
Before Installation
Please check that the location of the new smart switch dimmer mech is within range of your wifi and that the signal is strong.
Electrical Safety
- Ensure the power is disconnected before installing
- This product is NOT suitable for damp or explosive environments
- Modification of this product will void any warranty
- For indoor use only
- Do not cover in insulation
- The installation must follow AS/NZS3000 wiring rules and building codes
Wire the Dimmer Mech
Disconnect power.
Remove switch plate from the wall (if upgrading the existing wall plate) and connect the dimmer in accordance with the wiring diagram. (For installations involving more that one dimmer on the switch plate, refer to the multi-gang de-rating instructions beforecommencing wiring.)
Refit switch plate to the wall.
Reconnect power
Multigang De-rating
When more than one dimmer is used on a common wallplate, their combined heat will affect their overall performance. Consequently, multiple dimmers must be re-rated. Follow th table below for relevant instalation guidelines.

Programming Minimum Light Level
The minimum dimming level can be raised to increase compatability with a wide range of lights under the settings menu for the smart dimmer (within the Smartlife Air app). This can be saved and locked to prevent accidental changes.
The load type can also be selected to better match dimming characteristics to your light.
Smartlife Air/Connect Compatability
This setting can only be adjusted within Smartlife Air. The current value can only be viewed in Smartlife Connect.
Lighting Compatability
This dimmer is compatibly with most LED and incandescent bulbs and lighting devices. If required you can raise the minimum lighting level to avoid any low level flickering due to different driver designs.
Smartlife Air/Connect Compatability
This setting can only be adjusted within Smartlife Air. The current value can only be viewed in Smartlife Connect.
Smart Dimming
The smart dimmer works in sync with the Smartlife Air and Smartlife Connect app. Choose to control the dimmer from the physical button or from the app and they are both in perfect sync.
Using Alternative Button Caps
Remove the button cap with a screwdriver as shown in the diagram shown. Install the alternative button cap onto the mechanism by aligning correctly and pushing until it clicks into place.

Enrolling in the Tuya Compatible App
Switching to EZ Mode
Power-on this device and the light on the switch mech should begin blinking rapidly and be ready to pair in EZ mode (about 1 times per second). If this device does not automatically start blinking, then quickly press the button 9 times. It should then begin to blink rapidly as above.
Switching to AP Mode
Power-on this device and the light on the switch mech should begin blinking rapidly and be ready to pair in EZ mode (about 1 times per second). To switch to AP mode, quickly press the button 12 times. It should then begin to blink slowly and be ready to pair.
